Today’s post is a little different… I am sharing my current office space where I like to shoot for my blog, and come up with ideas for different posts.

I know what you’re thinking – dark furniture.. soo not on trend. In life you have to work with what you got, so I’ve added my personality to this old Walmart desk of mine.

Hope you enjoy

Winnipeg has spoiled us this year with a milder winter. We had about two weeks of -30 weather and I am not complaining one bit.

With that dreaded cold winter comes the yucky dry skin. There is nothing worse than having to hide your arms or legs because you have taken a reptile form with flaky skin.

And lets be honest, we all get it.

So this post will share my secret weapon when it comes to getting rid of that nasty dry skin!

Welcome Back!!

Recently I cut my hair pretty short (for me), and I am in a whole new world of discovering ways to style it! Here are some of my go-to hair products and accessories.

*some of these are brand new to me, but I fell in love!

Good Morning & Happy February! The days are counting down until Valentines Day, and I know there are people who are anxiously waiting. The thing about Valentines Day is I find there are two types of people who handle the day:

1- The person who is the romantic; gifts, flowers, dinner, romance

and 2- The one who hates anything to do with it

My husband falls into the category of the 2nd description, but he still does make an effort for me on that day. Normally we will just stay in and cook a nice dinner together.. something low key. Which I love. It really is about spending time with the person you love the most in the world, so I can’t complain!

Here are some essentials for you love birds out there if you’re looking to get inspired.

I am SO excited that I got my hands on these!! I was grocery shopping at Superstore the other night and as I wandered into the cosmetic section all I found was an empty display case.

As I started walking away feeling defeated (so dramatic- I know), I stumbled across another display case that was 50% picked through. Luckily for me, I was able to pick up 3 gorgeous shades.

Revlon Matte Lipsticks

Drugstore Haul!

Loreal Voluminous Mascara $9

This mascara doesn’t clump up on you, and is easy to remove. Which to me are the top two things to look for in a mascara. Yes, having a waterproof mascara that stays put is nice for certain situations, but lets be real here.. I want to be able to get my mascara off at the end of a long day without looking like a raccoon and without using a lot of effort.

Loreal True Match Concealer – Light $9

This is a great concealer for brightening up under your eyes. It does crease, so use a powder to set it right after you’ve blended out the product. Bang for buck, this is one of my favourite concealers out there.

Loreal Telescopic Liquid Liner $8

This is the only liquid liner I have ever used. I’ve been buying this from the drugstore since I was 14!! The tip is really fine so it makes applying the eyeliner very easy and although this product looks really small, it lasts a long time! Highly recommend this. But if you have any suggestions for liquid liners, let me know!!

Neutrogena Make Up Wipes $10

I find these makeup wipes leave my face feeling a bit oily, so I always have to wash my face right after I use these wipes. However, they do work really well. I use these mostly for removing all of my eye makeup and to remove any product I’ve put on my hands while getting ready.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer $10

I’ve been using this product for about a week now, and I can say that I really like it!! It’s supposed to be a pore minimizer, and it does work, just not as well as other products I have used. I do like the feeling of it and it does work really well as a primer. I can easily say it’s my new favourite drugstore primer.

Rimmel Natural Bronzer $6

I prefer more of a matte bronzer in the winter, and this product totally accomplishes the look I want. The brush that I have been using doesn’t pick up too much product, which is great because I like a bronzer that you can build up. Nothing worse than a bronzer that gives you a oompa-loompa look! NO THANK YOU.

Rimmel Lipstick – Kate Moss #45 $6

A gorgeous pink shade that is perfect for olive skin tones! I have a really hard time finding nude-pinks that look good with my skin tone. Majority of the colours I like just wash me out! So I’m super happy I stumbled across this gorgeous shade.

Milani Baked Blush – Rose D’ Oro $9

I’ve heard so much hype about these baked blushes so I just had to give it a shot. They are super affordable and really pigmented. The colour is just gorgeous, but I feel like it would be better suited for a hot vacation and/or during the summer time! It is really shimmery so it has a blush/highlight combo going on. Super pretty, but I definitely need a tan first.

Revlon Lash Glue $7

THE BEST. This is my ride or die lash glue. It is so easy to apply to any false lash line and it’s not messy! I find the tubed lash glue always smells so gross and it comes out in a blob mess. This lash glue has a brush in it, so it makes your life so much easier to apply. The only thing I suggest is to use a little more glue around the inside and outside corners of the lash band. I’ve found that if you don’t place your lashes in the perfect position, it won’t stick very well. Once you have some practice, you will love this product just as much as I do.

Loreal True Match Foundation $13

Nicole Guerriero introduced this amazing drugstore foundation to me while I was binge watching her Youtube Channel. It’s full coverage but light weight and lasts all day. For the price, you cannot beat this!! Definitely give it a try if you are in search of a full coverage drugstore foundation.

All products in this haul were purchased at Superstore! I find their cosmetic section has really stepped up their game and is ALWAYS being restocked. I am currently on the hunt for the new liquid lipsticks by Revlon. The colours are stunning and I want every last one of them!!! When I was last at Superstore, the entire display was empty so clearly I’m not the only one who is trying to track this product down.  Check them out next time you are at a drugstore!

Hope you all had a great weekend and I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
