Hello & Welcome Back!
I have been itching for a new hair style for quite some time now and I have finally bit the bullet. I want to share with you my first Hairology experience, my hair inspo and the final result!
Okay so let’s start with my hair inspo. I wanted a change but I didn’t want to venture out of the brunette world. I do love my dark hair but I find when photographing it, you can never see the structure of my hair. It always ends up looking like a dark blob around my head. I figured that I would add some balayage to give my hair a little life and dimension. I also wanted a softer colour, I always stick to dark colours for my hair and felt this needed to change a bit.
For my inspiration I used Sivan Ayla and Marianna Hewitt. These beautiful ladies have the most incredible hair and exactly what I was envisioning for my hair transformation. Also if you follow Hairology on IG you know that they are the masters of balayage so I knew I’d be in great hands.
My appointment was for 9AM and typically I am super nervous for hair appointments, but when I walked in and was warmly greeted, I felt at ease. Maybe it was all of the gorgeous greenery in the salon that brought this calming vibe, but I was loving the salon. Jess did my hair (follow her HERE), and she was the sweetest human being ever! I just adored her and although I was there for longer than I thought I would be, she made the time go by so fast. *side note, I have a TON of hair so my hair takes forever to do any step, it had nothing to do with the salon for my reason on being there longer than planned. She also told me how much longer it would be to achieve my goal before she even started!*
From lifting the original dark brown colour out, to creating the balayage, to toning, to blow drying and styling, the process went seamlessly and I could not have asked for a better experience!
The Final Result
I very highly recommend Hairology! So if you are in the Winnipeg area and looking for a new salon to go to, give them a try! You will not regret it!
I hope you all enjoyed today’s post!
