Happy Monday!!

I am sharing this very affordable outfit from Dynamite! This is a perfect outfit to transition throughout our days. Here in Manitoba we are experiencing cold in the mornings & evenings, and then die of heat during mid day. Having a cute jean jacket is the perfect piece to add that extra needed layer.

How was your weekend??

Ryan and I went to the outlet mall on Saturday morning and I found the cutest wrap dress from Banana Republic! Ryan bought a few pieces for summer as well, it was super nice to get out of the house as a family.

My parents stopped by for a visit on Saturday and Sunday we walked to Starbucks,  grabbed a couple groceries and spent the afternoon relaxing.

If you saw on my IG Stories, I will be filming “A Day In The Life of The Audino Twins” this week! I’m hoping to have it up in the next two weeks. If anyone has tips of video editing using IMovie, let me know!!

Thank you for stopping by!

Now that I am a mother, I have a total new appreciation for my parents. I am just so lucky that I will have two healthy babies and a wonderful husband to spend the day with.

In the spirit of Mothers Day, I wanted to share a gift guide for you all!

Happy Monday & First Day of May!

I cannot get enough of Rachel Parcell’s clothing line!! How stunning is THIS dress? I am obsessed with the bell sleeve detail and the lace print! I also love this shade of pink, it is the perfect shade that would look good on so many skin tones and it will transition from spring to summer, perfectly.

I think this dress would be a perfect wedding guest dress for the upcoming wedding season! My husband and I have a ton of events this summer, so keep your eyes open – this dress may be on my ‘repeat’ list!

How was your weekend?? Mine was spent in a night out for a friends birthday on friday night, which meant major sleep sessions on saturday. The fam jam and I went for a gorgeous walk on Sunday, grabbed some starbucks and walked through our neighbourhood. It was a perfect day!! I am so sad that last week we had such horrible weather – my brother and his girlfriend were in from Toronto, and we had so many blog shoot plans but the weather was just not on our side! She also has a blog that you can check out HERE. Her and I are very similar, so if you find yourself on my blog, you will definitely love hers as well. Go show her some love!!

Also – who else is SO excited about the outlet mall opening here in Winnipeg this week?! My husband is definitely not going to love me being on Mat Leave anymore! Haha!! Our poor bank account is going to take a major hit by me having an excuse to go check out the mall!

Have an amazing week!

I hope you all enjoyed this post!

Today’s post is going to be a little different than what I would normally share, however I want to establish a better bond between you and myself. This is a post about the not-always-talked-about topic of “mom guilt.”

One thing I didn’t know I would experience before becoming a mother, is “mom guilt.” I didn’t even know it existed! Let me explain my situation.

When we had the boys, weeks were flying by before I could even blink. I was running on anywhere between 3-5 hours of broken sleep every night and I was by myself most days as my husband went back to work the following week. Also having twins sets a whole other level of challenges. I was going through the motions and everything felt completely fine! I was getting into my routine being a new mom and my boys are the sweetest babies and only cry if something is wrong. I am so lucky to have such good babies, however there is this cloud that can linger over me.

That cloud is the MOM GUILT.

The months started going by and I quickly found myself stuck in the house. ALL OF THE TIME. Getting out of the house in the winter with two babies made it almost impossible to get anywhere. I am the type of person who doesn’t like asking for help, and this plays a major role into my mom guilt. I wouldn’t even get out of the house to grocery shop, I would get them delivered!

The boys are now 7.5 months old and I can count on both hands how many times I’ve left them for more than an 1 hour period. I can also count on one hand how many times I’ve done something for myself in the last 7.5 months as well. Where before I had kids, as selfish as I didn’t think I was, having the luxury of doing anything for myself whenever I wanted seems almost ridiculous now.

There are days when I don’t have time to shower, or eat breakfast and 90% of my days I go without having lunch. Nevermind all of the girly things I used to do on a regular basis, such as getting a manicure or a pedicure, getting my eyebrows done, etc.

Now that it’s getting warmer out I am finding myself getting VERY antsy to get out of the house with the boys, and wanting to gain just a tiny bit of freedom back.

Now this is where my major mom guilt kicks in.

I KNOW for my mental health, it is OKAY to ask for a break, It is OKAY to ask for someone else to watch them to have a little “me” time. Whether that means I can take a bath and just have some quiet time, or I can go get that mani/pedi I’ve been dying to get done for months.

But, on the flip side of things, my mom guilt is telling me that the boys are MY responsibility, and I am their mother so I shouldn’t even want “freedom.” I shouldn’t be constantly leaning on others to help me out on a regular basis when I don’t have the time to give back any help.

It is the internal battle that I have been struggling with every day lately and I can feel it building. I feel like it’s almost the Angel vs Devil on the shoulders type of scenario.

So, what does this all mean? It means that I am human. It means that I am a new mom trying my best to be a good mom, and a good wife. I can acknowledge that it is okay to have a break, and I shouldn’t feel guilty about it.

Easier said than done though right?

If you feel the Mom guilt, do not think you are alone, I am in it with you and totally get it. It’s hard to not love your family so much and feel that sense of responsibility that comes along with parenthood. However, ask for help. Talk to someone about how you feel. Ask for a break. Why? Because you deserve it.

Today I wanted to share what I purchased from the Sephora VIB Sale!! You all know that sales at Sephora tend to only happen a few times a year, so I like to take advantage of them!
From my recent post of my Beauty Wish List (which you can see HERE), I purchased THIS. I have had my eye on this palette for a while and saw it as I was in the ABH section and figured WHY NOT! I have a ton of events coming up this summer and I think this palette can create so many looks.
Now the next three items I want to talk about are products that are my must have’s in my beauty bag.
I feel like no one does brow products as well as Anastasia Beverly Hills, and for a little over a year now I have been really loving the Brow Definer. I needed to pick up another one, so the sale couldn’t have come at a better time.
I have combination skin so I find with THIS product, my skin always looks flawless and I get a long-wear out of any foundation. This has been a life saver over my pregnancy!! And now I incorporate it into my daily makeup routine.
Now THIS lip balm is the absolute BEST. I use it every night before I go to sleep and I still have product on in the morning. My lips are always so soft and moisturized ever since I started using this product. I honestly love it!! It’s so worth the money too. I just had to replace one that lasted 8 months!!!
Tarte came out with THIS mascara a while back, and I have heard some incredible reviews so I figured it was worth giving it a shot! I will be doing a mascara review on this product very soon so stay tuned!!
I hope you all enjoyed this post! Thanks for stopping by!

This outfit is first and foremost – so cute and super affordable!

I was grocery shopping at Superstore and like I always do, I quickly browse through the Joe Fresh sections before I start the “boring” adult shopping. I spotted this really cute off the shoulder tunic and had to have it! It’s super lightweight and I loved that I was able to tie it to give it a bit more life.

Shop my look below!!

foundation

Finding the right foundation for your skin can be a little tricky. It took me years and (close to) a hundred different products searching for the perfect one.

How To Pick A Foundation

It starts with what type of coverage you are looking for. From light coverage to full coverage, and everything in between. I am a full coverage type of girl. The reason being, is that I have a lot of discolouration in my skin. I get major dark circles and if I get any blemishes, it’s nice to hide those bad boys.

So, along with picking a coverage type, you need to consider the finish you want. Dewy, Satin or Matte are typically the most popular.

I always had a oily face when I was younger, so I always go to the matte side of the spectrum. Anything shiny or dewy on my face, I feel like I’m back in high school. No Thank You.

Then, you need to find a foundation that works with your skin’s undertone. There are a lot of products that come in a warm undertone or a cool undertone.

My Favourite HIGH END Foundations

Hands down my absolute FAVOURITE foundation is Too Faced Born This Way. It has a medium coverage, but you can build it up if you need to. If you apply it with a Sigma F80, you get the most flawless finish. I always get compliments on how my skin looks when I wear it!

Next up is the Marc Jacobs ReMARCable Foundation. I did a full review on it HERE. It is a full coverage, and you use hardly any product.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation is another incredible product. I have been using this for a few years now and I absolutely LOVE it. It is a full coverage and doesn’t budge ALL DAY. I love not having to touch up.

Favourite Drug Store Foundation

In my eyes, there really is only one foundation that I truly LOVE from the drugstore. It is the L’Oreal True Match. Oh. My. God. It’s incredible!! Honestly it’s better than a lot of higher end products that I have tried. You cannot beat the price point and the coverage is PERFECT. This is a product I will always highly recommend!

What are some of your favourite foundations?? Share with me!

Switching things up, I want to share some products on my Beauty Wish List, so let’s get started!

Skin Care

I have been hearing a TON about THIS body lotion and I so badly want to try it out. One of the main reasons that I want to try it out is that it is unscented. When I get out of the shower, I usually end up applying a bunch of product that has strong scents in it, so finding a great moisturizer without a strong scent is a must for me!

THIS face lotion is another item I have been dying to try out. I have heard incredible reviews about it and I think it might be the solution to my skin issues! However, I recently tried out the Sunday Riley products and did a review on them that you can find HERE if you are interested.

The eye cream that has incredible reviews that I am dying to try out, is THIS eye cream. The reviews say that it is to work wonders on fine lines. Towards the end of pregnancy, your skin retains water which plumps your skin – great for lips and smoothly fine lines – until you aren’t pregnant anymore and are sleep deprived. All of a sudden your fine lines seem  to be magnified and dark circles are in full effect. Finding something to mask these issues is a MUST for me.

When it comes to self tanning, I love THIS product. I bought it two summers ago and loved it. It is time to replace the bottle I have for a fresh start to this summer. I highly recommend it!

I have been eyeing up one of THESE for a couple years now. Everyone that I know who has one, has the most beautiful and healthy looking skin. It’s cleanliness on an whole other level!! I so badly need this product!!

Hair Care

In every blogger’s comments you will see people asking “what did you use to curl your hair?” and 9 times out of 10 it is THIS curling set. It creates the most gorgeous curls and I love that it is interchangeable for different size barrels.

The shampoo I love is THIS one and THIS hair spray are on my “really want” list. I tried it out in the sample sizes when the set was part of the rewards boutique at Sephora, and my hair LOVED this brand. My hair has been a little crazy over the last year from all of the hormonal changes my body has had, so finding something that worked at any stage has been a little tough.

Makeup

THIS eye palette I have had my eye on for a long time, but just haven’t actually purchased! It is so stunning, I think it would be a staple in anyone’s beauty collection.

Dior has some incredible beauty products that I would love to get my hands on. I am currently wanting a few lip products that you can find HERE and HERE. I also LOVE THIS mascara. I have been using it for years and I keep going back to it. It is hands down my favourite mascara.

What are some products that you are dying to get your hands on?

I hope you all enjoyed this post!
